Welcome to Mars Class - Year 4

Message from Mr Moss

Welcome to Mars!

It is so exciting to be blasting-off for a new term and, as you can see, Year 4 now takes the name of 'The Red Planet' - Mars!

Aptly, roving vehicles that have landed on Mars in recent years have manifested our school values! You may remember the 'Curiosity' rover that landed on Mars a few years ago, and perhaps you know about 'Perseverence' (or 'Percy), the rover that has only recently landed on the planet. Like these rovers, we are setting off on a journey of discovery!

Our learning this term will take us back to the Stone Age (History), and we shall also be learning about climate change (Geography) and linking this with our growing knowledge of solids, liquids and gases (Science).

Swimming at Leiston Pool is back on the timetable from Tuesday 7th September, so please remember to send your children in with swimming kit on Tuesdays each week. The children will also be able to enjoy specialist music lessons with Mr Butcher from the Suffolk Music Hub, who will be coming in each Wednesday to teach ukulele to all Year 4 children.

So buckle up your space suits and get ready for some hard work and adventure!

Mr Moss.

This year, we are no longer using "Mathletics" but have, instead, subscribed to "Maths Shed" (part of the EdShed group). I will now be using this platform to set Maths and Spellings homework each week - the log in details are the same as "Spelling Shed". Please click on the picture below to log in.

Thank you.
