I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to you and your family to Kelsale CEVC Primary School. We are an inclusive and nurturing school where every child is valued and celebrated for their individuality. Our school currently has around 165 children, aged 4 to 11.
As a school community, we live by our vision: “Together, we believe, we learn, laugh and shine.” This vision is underpinned by our three core values: Respect, Compassion, and Perseverance, which shape our distinctly Christian ethos. As a Church of England Voluntary Controlled (CEVC) school, we are proud of our strong links with St Mary and St Peter’s Church, our local community, and the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. Our Christian values are woven through our teaching, collective worship, and active involvement in local and wider community projects.
We are ambitious for our children academically but equally focused on developing the personal qualities that prepare them for life beyond the classroom. We aim to nurture respectful, compassionate, and resilient individuals who approach every challenge with confidence and positivity.
Our curriculum is carefully designed with the Kelsale child at its heart, offering engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Children enjoy opportunities to collaborate, explore interesting topics, and take part in a wide range of extracurricular activities. A particular highlight is our Sports Fortnight, where every child gets involved in a variety of sports and activities.
We are fortunate to have beautiful school grounds and a stunning local environment, which we use to enrich learning through trips, Forest School sessions, and swimming. These experiences help children to grow in confidence and independence.
Our children are well-behaved, happy, and independent learners. This reflects the dedication of our talented, caring staff, who work together to create the unique and welcoming feel of our school - a place where every pupil can truly shine.
At Kelsale, we believe that education is a genuine partnership between home and school. We deeply value parents and carers as active partners in their child’s learning and in the life of our school.
We warmly invite you to visit and experience for yourself the special community that makes Kelsale CEVC Primary School such a wonderful place to learn and grow.
