Kelsale is a small primary school which shines very brightly. We all strive to learn and thrive together, we aim high and we help each other do well at the same time. We work together closely as a team with our families to ensure our children are challenged academically and supported in a nurturing environment where they feel safe and secure, ready and motivated.
As a school community we live by our vision ‘Together, we believe, we learn, laugh and shine.’ Our vision is supported by our three core values: Respect, Compassion and Perseverance, the foundations for which are distinctly Christian. As a Church of England Voluntary Controlled (CEVC) church school, we have a strong connection with our local parish, St Mary and St Peters Church, with the local community and with the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. We are very proud of our Christian foundations; we teach and follow the Christian values through our collective worship and participation is local and wider community projects.
We are an inclusive school who welcome and celebrate the individuality of all our children. We have approximately 165 children on roll ranging from 4 – 11 years old. I am currently the interim headteacher here and am leading the school for two terms until August 2025.
We are blessed with a passionate and experienced education team. All staff continually strive to build on their expertise and develop their own learning, to ensure we offer our children the most up to date, effective and rich learning experiences.
