How we will protect our school community

To protect all members of our school community we have made a few changes to our school routines which our outlined below.  The changes have been carefully considered and follow the most recent guidance from the government aiming to protect and to react effectively and efficiently.

In order to protect our school community we have made the following changes:

  • Children will remain in the class (bubbles) throughout the school and will not mix with children from other classes.
  • Staggered arrival and departure times for all children.   A one way system will be operated around the our school site during these peek times, entry will be via our playground gate departing via our carpark gate.
  • Staggered play and lunch time breaks
  • Divided areas on the field for play and lunch time breaks
  • Children will eat lunch in their classes
  • Windows will be kept open to allow ventilation in classrooms.   Please bring a jumper, cardigan or fleece into school to pop on if chilly.
  • Collective worship will be carried out in individual classes for the time being
  • We ask that parents move swiftly around our school site when dropping off and collecting their children.   If you wish to speak to a member of staff a meeting time will need to be arranged in advanced by contacting the school office.  Meetings will be held outdoors as much as possible.
  • External visitors will be kept to a minimum and when possible appointments booked before or after our school day.   For further information please follow link below to our full school risk assessment

We hope that if we are all proactive and work together we can minimise our risk and protect our school community.

If you do have any queries please contact us via email admin@kelsaleprimary.org.uk.

Kind regards

Miss McMeekin, Headteacher
