Our school vision

Together, we believe, we learn, laugh and shine.

Together: We are an inclusive school, where everyone is welcome as Jesus welcomed all. We work closely; children, parents, teachers, staff and governors to support our children in becoming the best they can be.

We believe that everyone is made in the image of God and therefore has value and worth. Therefore, we believe in working together, being respectful and compassionate towards each other, and as we do we achieve our very best.

Learn: together we learn how to be an awesome learner (Kelsale's 5 C's), learn new things, build and develop on things we know already and encourage each other to achieve our best and celebrate our successes, inspired by our new our curriculum.

Laugh: We believe that God knows us and is with us wherever we go. Therefore we feel safe, secure and valued in our school and we can: have fun in our learning activities, feel confident to join in with activities and are willing to take a risk and have a go.

Shine we are proud of and celebrate our achievements together.   We always persevere and try our very best.

Our vision is underpinned by the Bible verse from Paul’s letter to the Colossians (pronounced col-osh-uns).

The first half of the verse encapsulates how we view the children and each other – chosen and dearly loved. That underpins how we treat everyone, our passion for seeing the children thrive and develop, and it underpins our policies. The second half of the verse underpins our values of respect, compassion, and perseverance.

KELSALE'S CHRISTIAN VALUES

Kelsale has 3 main values which make up our School rules:

They are

Compassion : Be Compassionate

Respect : Be Respectful

Perseverance : Always Persevere

We believe that these 3 core values encompass all Christian values which we as a community endeavour to live by in our every day lives.

As a church school we have a responsibility to teach the Christian values to our children.  These values are are incorporated in to everyday life in our school through our daily act of collective worship as well as in specific lessons.

We also teach about the beliefs of others and key aspects of other world religions

Christian values

Perserverance, compassion, respect and reverence, generosity, peace, wisdom, creativity, responsibility, trust, justice, truth, service, hope, humility, forgiveness, thankfulness and friendship.
